IMDG Code E-learning

IMDG Code training became mandatory from 1 January 2010 for all shore-side staff involved in dangerous goods transport by sea.

Shore side staff requiring IMDG Code training include: – shippers and forwarders, container packers and consolidators, shipping line operations and booking staff, stevedores and port staff.

IMDG Code e-learning is a cost-effective training course for shore side staff involved in dangerous goods handling and transport by sea.  It was developed in collaboration with the International Maritime Organization and is used by 16 of the top 20 container lines. 

The following courses are available:

• General awareness- for staff not directly involved in the day-to-day transport of dangerous goods by sea but who require an overview and familiarisation of the IMDG Code provisions.

End user price GBP 58 per course (1-10 courses); discounts for 11 courses or more

• Function-specific- for staff directly involved in dangerous goods transport. The course can be configured according to the student’s job role following the functions identified in the IMDG Code training recommendations.

End user price GBP 88 per course (1-10 courses); discounts for 11 courses or more

• Advanced course- in-depth IMDG Code training with all course content.

End user price GBP 88 per course (1-10 courses); discounts for 11 courses or more

• Refresher course- for those who require a refresh on the IMDG Code provisions and details of     the latest Amendment update.

• Freight Forwarder course- specific training for those in a Freight Forwarder role
